PMs of CAC member states will consider conception of water-power, transport and food consortiums establishment[19:58]
20/02/2004, Kazakhstan Today As it was stated by the Foreign Minister of RK, Kassymzhomart Tokayev, at a press conference, dedicated to the CFM session that took place today, on 20 February, in Almaty the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Central Asian Co-operation (CAC) will submit for consideration of the Prime Ministers of CAC member states the conception of water-power, transport and food consortiums establishment. The experts and coordinators of CAC met on 19 February in Almaty to consider the conceptions of the international consortiums establishment, K. Tokayev reported. Kazakhstan will summarize the proposals to create a consolidated variant and "to establish integrated conception" after that the Central Asian Co-operation will present the proposal to the International Financial Institutions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Askar Aitmatov said. The conception is based on observance of CAC member states interests. According to A. Aitmatov, in case of the consortiums establishment the Central Asian Co-operation will be able to realize the entire economic potential of the countries and promote dismantling the barriers that are preventing the countries from economic and cultural development.
