The CIS, as an instrument of civilised divorce of USSR countries, must as soon as possible be replaced with an instrument of their unification - Eurasian Union, Alexander Dugin, leader of Eurasian party said at a press conference in Almaty today, on 10 October.

А. Dugin observed that the idea of Eurasian Union establishment, brought forward by the president of RK Nursultan Nazarbayev, was a logical continuation of philosophy of Russian Eurasians of the late XIX - early ХХ centuries. According to it the roots of the Russian statehood should be traced back not only to Kiev Russia, but also to the Golden Horde. Analogically, the Russian culture was created not only by Slavs, but also by "Turanians", that is Turkic and Mongol peoples.

Thus, the establishment of the Common Economic Space (CES) between Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine, А. Dugin believes, has become a natural continuation of historical tendency and a breakthrough in the integration stagnation, obvious until recently. The form of establishment of the new union, according to А. Dugin, is a unitary economic union with elements of confederation, on direct analogy with European Union, built up with a view to national traditions and democratic principles.

According to him, the CIS countries will be forced to unite because of growing globalisation. "No national state will remain as it is currently", - А. Dugin said. The only way to oppose the globalisation and a loss of identity for the national state lies in integration and unification.
