President of RK receives CEO of Gasprom

Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of Kazakhstan, and Alexei Miller, chairman of the managing committee of "Gazprom" OJSC, have discussed an establishment of a joint venture on the basis of Orenburg refinery. A. Miller has stated this today, November 11, at a briefing in Astana after his meeting with the president, KZ-today correspondent reports.
According to A.Miller "it is planned to ink a long term contract for the supply of gas from Karachaganak field" on the basis of Orenburg refinery as a part of this project.
"It is a big project interesting for both Kazakhstan and Russia," - he has observed.
Besides, the head of "Gazprom" has said that they discussed a medium term project on the transit of Central Asian gas through the territory of Kazakhstan and on the transit of Kazakhstani gas through the territory of Russia inked today. "It is a qualitatively new phase of our co-operation that will allow us to build up relations for decades ahead," - he has stressed.
"Gazprom, as a Russian business feels comfortable in Kazakhstan. President Nazarbayev is a guarantor for that," - he has noted.
