Government debt of RK to be reduced by the end of 2007 to 10.6% of GDP

The Government debt of RK will be 10.6% of GDP by the end of 2007. Bakhyt Sultanov, vice minister of economy and budget planning of RK has stated on 28 September, at a meeting of the mazhilis working group, tasked with draft budget 2005 arrangement, KZ-today reports from Astana.

Due to his words, lately the steady trends of reduction of government debt servicing costs against GDP is obvious. "These expenses are expected to be at the level of 12.9% in 2004, but we see the reduction to 12.6% in 2005". "by the end of 2007 the debt of the government will be reduced to 10.6%," he explained.

B. Sultanov also noted that "the tendency of reduction of government guarantees payment is also registered".
