Kyrgyzstan called off strengthening of border protection with Uzbekistan

Bishkek. May 28. Kazakhstan Today - The Boundary Service of Kyrgyzstan called off strengthening of border security of the border with Uzbekistan, the agency reports citing the press service of Boundary Service of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service, the reason of cancellation of strengthening of border protection was stabilization of the situation on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. "All the check points work in the usual mode. However, Uzbekistan has still been keeping to the strengthened mode of protection of the state border with Kyrgyzstan," the press service informed.

As informed earlier, the Boundary Service of Kyrgyzstan in connection with the events in the city of Hanabad had strengthened protection of its frontier zone with Uzbekistan.
