Almaty. October 17. Kazakhstan Today - Following the results of the tenders of the shares at the Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) on October 16, 2008 KASE index decreased by 96.70 items (9.4 %) - from 1027.52 up to 930.82, the agency reports.

According to the stock exchange, the first transaction of the day registered the value of the index at the level of 1022.10. During the tenders maximum value of the index made 1023.95 and minimum - 929.53.

"Volume of transactions of shares included in the representation index list, on October 16 in comparison with the last trading day in tenge equivalent has increased by 2.4 times and has made 256.7 million KZT, or $2143.6 thousand," the stock exchange informs.
