German State Minister - Kazakhstan OSCE leadership is attribute of equality

Brussels. December 5. Kazakhstan Today - The State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany Hernot Erler supported the application of Kazakhstan at the plenary session of the Parliamentary assembly and noted that transfer of OSCE chairmanship to this country is the attribute of equality, the agency reports from Brussels.

"Kazakhstan applied for the post of OSCE chairman for 2009. Germany supports the idea to transfer the presidency to this country. It is an attribute of that the young Central Asian states can count on equality within the limits of the organization," H. Erler considers.

"Support of Central Asia states can become the contribution of OSCE to stability, equality and development of the region," he emphasized.

The head of Slovakia delegation, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Jan Kubish expressed his support of Kazakhstan OSCE leadership in 2009. The plenary session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly took place today within the limits of 14th annual session of Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs of OSCE member states.
