Kyrgyzstan officially backed Pakistan's stance on Afghan crisis

The main goal of the visit of the head for foreign political department attached to the Kyrgyz President Askar Aytmatov to Islamadab and negotiations with the Pakistani President Pervez Musharaf was to express Kyrgyzstan's support and solidarity with the position of official Islamabad regarding the Afghan crisis and posts conflict regulation in the state.

Aytamatov stressed at the press conference in Bishkek the key role of Pakistan in Afghan settlement. He also underlined that Kyrgyzstan has become the first Muslim state in the Central Asian region which representative paid an official visit to Pakistan with the support and solidarity mission. He also informed that the Kyrgyz authorities made a decision to open a diplomatic representative in Islamabad.
