The helicopters were delivered to Georgia from US about two weeks ago. The ceremony was attended by Georgian Defence Ministry officials, US Defence Minister assistant Mira Baratta and Pentagon Envoy for Georgia Otar Shalikashvili. Present "helicopter program" is the biggest action of military aid to Georgia from US. This program foresees presenting 6 working helicopters, 4 helicopters to be dismantle for spare parts and training of pilots and technical personnel operating the helicopters. |
