Armenian President met with delegation of Armenians Union in Russia

Armenia-Diaspora relations should base on mutual understanding, principles of mutual cooperation. Our main aim is establishing strong Armenia and strong Diaspora, Armenian President Robert Kocharian said at the meeting with delegation of Armenians Union in Russia. Head of state mentioned that agreement on cooperation between Armenian and Russian regional administrations, signed during Vladimir Putin's visit to Yerevan, gives possibility of establishing closer relations with regions. While mentioning centuries-old Armenian-Russian cooperation based on friendship, respect of mutual interests, the participants of the meeting tallied in opinion that Armenian and Russian interests much coincide.
