The main goal of the visit is acquaintance with situation in the Republic, unbiased evaluation of consequences of summer drought and actual humanitarian situation in light of latest events in Afghanistan. Susan Mellaun's meeting with UN representatives and visiting Gorno-Badakhshan autonomous region are also planned. She will stay in Tajikistan till October 21. |
