The recent visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Armenia may have positively impact on internal political situation in the state, the vice Speaker of the Armenian parliament Gagik Aslanian said in his talk with CNA. The parliamentarian explained that some political forces of the state comment the Armenian-Russian relations from their point of view that makes the society a little tensed. Aslanian considers that the visit will have positive aftermath on development of relations between two states, and relations between parliaments, in particular. Aslanian said that legislative structures of the both states cooperate both within the Parliamentary Assembly of CIS and in international structures. The vice Speaker stressed that the problems with studying the Russian language in Armenia need more urgent solutions. According to Aslanian, during the meeting with the Armenian parliamentarians Vladimir Putin touched upon this problem. While stressing the fact that the Russian language is the main source of spiritual contact between the two nations, the Russian president expressed concern over the fate of the Russian language in Armenia. Process of estrangement of the Russian language would negatively affect on Armenian itself, which has no enough sources for translating into Armenian masterpieces of world literature. He considers necessary opening Russian schools and more Russian classes in Armenian schools.
