"I do not think we are ready to assess the present situation and offered the list of urgent actions," the Armenian president Robert Kocharian stated, while commenting in his interview to Commersant daily the situation which is created allover the world after the terrorist acts in the US. The interview is republished today in the Russian language "Republic of Armenia" daily. The President said that fight with international terrorism was one of the main themes touched upon at the session of ember-states of the Collective Security Treaty, which took place this May in Yerevan. "During the official visit of the Russian Presidnet Vladimir Putin to Armenia we discussed the situation, however, we are not ready today to assess correspondingly the situation and to offer the necessary actions for the near future," the president Kocharian said.

"I think the experts and specialists are to study the recent events and to determined the level of new possible threat. They are to give the correct assessment and to form our further actions." Responding the question on whether the terrorism acts in the US can affect the process of Karabakh conflict settlement, the Armenian president said that the US actively participates in the settlement process, especially the past several years. Nobody knows will the US shift its attention and resources to the fight with new threat, Kocharian said. In case of strong resonance the events in the US will uncertainly have an impact on the process of Karabakh conflict settlement.
