The visit is timed to the celebration of 10th anniversary of Armenian Independence Day. The members of the French delegation will meet with the Armenian President Robert Kocharian, with Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II and Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian. The head of the delegation will hand to the President congratulation messages from the French president Jaques Chirac. The French parliamentarians will hand to the Catholicos Garegin II address of the French President on the occasion of celebration of 1700 anniversary of adoption of Christianity as a state religion of Armenia. The French lawmakers will take part in the ceremony of opening a new building of the French University. Construction of the University was completed thanks to the assistance of the French Senate. |
