Itera international group of companies is really interested in the projects on the construction of Armenia-Iran gas pipeline and considers the possible mechanisms of its participation in the project. Nikolay Semenenko, an official from the press office of the company informed CNА that presently Itera is examining the economic expediency of the project and the terms of covering expenditures.

However, CNА was informed from reliable sources close to Itera that the terms of covering the expenditures rises some doubts. According to the source, today Armenia receives gas from ArmRosgasprom for USD 53 for 1000 cubic meters. The cost of the Iranian gas at the borders with Armenia stands at USD 85 for 1000 cubic meters. Today Armenia uses a rather suitable way for covering the cost: it pays 50% of money by currency, the other part of the sum - by material and technical resources.

Refusal of Gazprom to take part in this project as well as "rather restricted" attitude of "Gas de France" to the construction of Armenian-Iranian gas pipeline causes some hesitations. As it is known interest of these two companies in the project was considered, as the main aspect of its expediency.
