Antitalib coalition headed by General Abdurashid Dustum hurled back talib troops from Termez big river port and came up to Afghan-Uzbek border, Russian military sources informed CNA. Dustum 8217s troops blocked from the east Mazari-Sharif administrative center of Balkh province, occupied Guri-Mar, a strategically important settlement, 20 km to east from the city. The diplomatic circles in Dushanbe estimated the attack of the Northern Alliance against talibs as significant event, since it favours weakening Taliban regime, which supports terrorism and hampers inter-Afghan dialogue. However, Military Attaché Office of the Afghan Embassy in Tajikistan did not confirm information on successfully implemented by Dustum’s forces military operation.
