GEORGIAN DEFENCE MINISTRY PROTESTS AGAINST UNSANCTIONED SHIFT OF RUSSIAN PEACEMAKERS IN STATE

Georgian Defence Minister reserves the right to prohibit Russian peacemaking forces shifting on the territory of Georgia, in case the incident fixed on September 22 recurs, an official statement of Georgian Defence Minister says. That day marching auto column of Russian peacemaking troops escorted by guard detachment was moving within Mestiy region (Western Georgia) without having got permission from Georgian side. Besides, the column overstepped the limits of the zone of Russian peacemakers activity on the Georgian territory. The Georgian department reminds the high command of the Group of Russian forces in Transcaucasia and peacemaking forces of the fact that "on Georgian territory beyond the zone of Russian peacemakers activity all shifts of military techniques can be carried out only basing on the agreement with Georgian Defence Ministry."
