JAQUES CHIRAC: ARMENIA HAS THE SUPPORT OF INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND FRANCE, IN PARTICULAR

President of France, Jaques Chirac, send a congratulations letter to his Armenian counterpart, Robert Kocharian, dedicated to the jubilees of the 1700th anniversary of adoption of Christianity as Armenia's state religion and 10th anniversary of the Independent Republic of Armenia. The Year 2001 is of obvious importance for Armenia first for this historic events and second, for this year membership in the Council of Europe, the letter of the French President says. According to Chirac, much yet is to be done for making Caucasus and Armenia peaceful and prosperous, however, the leader of France is confident that the country's leadership is necessary potential to achieve these goals. Armenia has the support of the international community and France, in particular, Chirac stressed in his letter.
