500,000 TONS OF OIL EXTRACTED IN AZERBAIJAN FROM BEGINNING OF YEAR

The Azeri joint ventures extracted 482,146 tons of oil since the beginning of the current year; it is 44,900 tons more than forecasted. In comparison with the last year this index 16.5% increased. For the corresponding period 447,013 tons of oil (105.2% from the planned scale) were handed to the government. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) informed Media Press that 64,706 tons of oil (8,956 tons more than planned) was extracted in August.

Karasu operating company developing Mishovdag-Kalametdin field handed to the government about 86,182 tons of oil for January-August period. Azeri-German Ramany JV handed over 28,158 tons of oil for the corresponding period. Muradkhanli operating company handed 24,300 tons of oil for 8 months of the year.

Salyan Oil operating company developing Kyurovdag field extracts 758 tons of oil daily. In January-July period the company extracted 184,257 tons of oil. The company handed over to the government 171,587 tons of oil. Azeri-British Shirvan Oil JV working on Kyurovdag field extracts daily 610 tons of oil. For 8 months of the current year the company extracted 148,166 tons of oil and handed over to the government 132,204 tons of oil.
