Georgia's membership in the list of highest poverty countries will negatively affect the investment atmosphere, representatives of government, independent experts believe. The inclusion in the list of highest poverty countries is a precondition of the annulling of Georgia's external debts.

Commenting this fact the former deputy of the president's parliamentary secretary, senior researcher of the Georgian Strategic and International Research Fund, Dr. Vladimir Papava told Prime-News that Georgia's membership in the HPC countries, which is the initiative of the Great Britain, is quite inadvisable. This will negatively affect the investment climate. Also, the annulling of the debts only concerns the debts to the Great Seven countries and the to the international financial institutes, while the debts to other countries, including Russia and Turkmenistan will remain to be paid, Papava stressed.
