GEORGIAN AND ABKHAZ SIDES INTEND TO INTENSIFY ACTIVITY OF THE JOINT GROUP COMBATING AGAINST ACTS OF TERRORISM IN CONFLICT ZONE

Abkhaz Minister for Special Affairs Malkhaz Kakabadze, Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia Polikarpe Moniava and Deputy Defence Minister Givi Agrba signed the protocol on behalf of Abkhaz government, while the Georgian side was represented by the Commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone Nikolay Sidorichev and head of the UN Military Observers Mission in Georgia Anis Ahmed Bajwa. Minister Kakabadze told Prime-News that the Sukhumi meeting was first of all important because it meant resumption of the peaceful negotiations process between Georgian and Abkhazian sides, which was suspended several months ago. The special representative of the UN Secretary General in Georgia Dieter Boden chaired session of the working group. |
