Uzbek President to visit Kazakhstan Sept 6-7

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov is planning to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on September 6-7, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Boribay Zheksembin announced.

At present, Tashkent hosts international scientific conference "20 years of mutual cooperation of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan: the past, present and future."

Zheksembin stressed that regular meetings of the leaders of the two states promoted the deepening and development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Only in 2010 the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev twice visited the Republic of Uzbekistan, including an official visit. The results of this visit were evaluated as very successful and brought bilateral relations to a higher level of quality.

"We are confident that the upcoming meeting of the two presidents will consolidate the level of bilateral relations," Zheksembin said.
