Chief Military Prosecutor's Office orders inquiry into suicide of private Kairanbayev

On August 1, 2012, security guard N. Kairanbayev shot himself in the heart with an automatic rifle in the guard room of the correctional institution "IU-62" of the Committee of the Correctional System, press service of the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office said.

Private Kairanbayev, conscript of the military unit 6636, died at the scene. Investigators say no suicide note was found.

At present, the Astana Military Investigation Department conducts forensic ballistics analysis and forensic medical examination.
