Maiya as always was smiley, accepted congratulations and had her photographs taken with the Olympic gold medal. "I would like to say a huge thank you to our President Nursultan Nazarbayev for the attention he attaches to sports," the Olympic champion said. "And, of course, I am looking forward to wins from Podobedova and Ilin," she added. When asked what she would get for winning the gold medal Maiya jokingly responded: "A fiancé". |
