A national export strategy is proposed to be developed in Kazakhstan to strengthen competitiveness of domestic enterprises, Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Kaznex Invest" National Agency for Export and Investments Meiyerzhan Maikenov said in his interview for PM.kz site.

"Prior to Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO we need to improve the trade policy towards development of competitiveness of our enterprises at the foreign markets. We propose to develop the National Export Strategy of Kazakhstan on the basis of international practices," M.Maikenov said.

The Deputy CEO of "Kaznex Invest" Agency said that the strategy would be aimed at analyzing of the world trade

processes and rendering necessary support to domestic manufacturers.

Besides, the National Export Strategy should specify directions for promotion of Kazakhstani products, promotion instruments and volume of state support for export-oriented enterprises.

As the Agency informs, over 1500 Kazakhstani companies received support for promotion of their products, about 400 of them are current participants of "Exporter - 2020" Program.
