Wide-scale education on labor legislation to be held in Kazakhstan

"On the instructions of the Head of State, we have formed a working group and now we develop an action plan so we could began wide-scale education on labor legislation since 2013," B. Nurymbetov said.
The Deputy Minister noted that the action plan would include seminars, workshops, meetings with representatives of all enterprises. It is planned to embrace all large and medium enterprises over two years.
Besides, he emphasized that increase of legal literacy of a worker had to help in prevention of labor disputes at the initial stage.
"A worker who found a job has to know his rights, he should know that his labor activity must be regulated by the employment contract," B. Nurymbetov said.
Besides, he said that a worker has to participate in the preparation of an employment agreement which would contain all the guarantees, additional preferences and measures. Besides, an additional measure on prevention of labor disputes will be inspections on compliance with the convention of the International Labor Organization.
"Now, a state labor inspector should have an opportunity to come to an enterprise and receive all required information and revealing any violations he has to warn an employer and give him an order to correction of them. It will become a mission currently measure," B. Nurymbetov noted. |
