It is one of the most complicated transplant surgeries. It is performed to treat irremediable diseases such as congenital hypoplasia of billary tract, liver and bile duct cancer, advanced liver cirrhosis.
In the economically developed countries liver cirrhosis ranks among the six main causes of death of the patients aged 35-60 making 14-30 cases per 100 000 population.
Today above 1200 patients need liver transplants in Kazakhstan. |
