Kazakh Culture Ministry to hold meeting of media relations council

A meeting of the Council on Media Relations in the Ministry of Culture and Information will focus on the issues of developing a code of journalistic ethics, Chairman of the Information and Archives Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information Bolat Kalyanbekov announced on Thursday.

"The Ministry now pays great attention to cooperation with the media and NGOs. As you know, the council on the issues of media under the President of Kazakhstan has been abolished a year ago, and the Ministry established a similar structure in the format of a consultative and advisory body. The council includes 29 members, including the head of the Fund on Protection of Freedom of Speech "Adil Soz" Tamara Kaleyeva and Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan Seitkazy Matayev," Kalyanbekov said.
