Kazakh-Polish defense cooperation has good prospects

Polish delegation headed by Minister of National Defence Tomasz Siemoniak visited Kazakhstan's national company JSC Kazakhstan Engineering.

During the talks with representatives of Poland head of Kazakhstan Engineering Bolat Smagulov told about the current activities of the company and the projects implemented by subsidiaries.

In his view, cooperation between enterprises of Kazakhstan and Poland in the military-industrial sector has great potential and good prospects. He said that the company is willing to invest in projects to produce advanced weapons, military and special equipment, which is proved by interaction of the company's subsidiary JSC "KazEngElectronics" with the Polish company «Instalnet». The two companies are planning to sign the General Agreement on production of personal protective equipment and uniforms for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"This visit will give a new impetus to cooperation between companies of the two countries in defense According to Tomasz Siemoniak, Poland attaches great importance to cooperation with Kazakhstan. "We would like to advance our cooperation from the intergovernmental dialogue to the level of dialogue between our companies. In Poland, there are companies that would like to work with you," he said. The Defence Minister said that the Polish side intends to organize a joint business forum to review the investment climate in the two states.

Siemoniak invited representatives of the Kazakh side to take part in the annual international defense exhibition in the Polish city of Kielce. "The joint business forum and participation in the exhibition would allow companies to further deepen the partnership" he added.
