Monaco hosts first Mediterranean Forum since elections in Tunisia and Egypt

Kazakh parliamentary delegation is taking part in the 21st annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Monaco.

The delegation consists of Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Ikram Adyrbekov, senators Rashit Akhmetov, Adil Akhmetov and majilismen Svetlana Bychkova, Kuanysh Sultanov.

At the session under the theme "The OSCE: Region of Change" the participants are discussing the issues of economic development, Iran's nuclear programme, development of democracy in the Arab World, enhancement of military cooperation.

The session will also include a Mediterranean Forum with delegations from the Middle East and North Africa - the first such meeting since democratic elections were held in Tunisia and Egypt.

Representatives from more than 50 countries arrived in Monaco.
