K. Mami noted an importance of this visit which is "continuation of the heart-warming traditions of interparliamentarian ties."

According to Mami, interaction within "Kazakhstan's friends" competition assists to the strengthening of the cooperation between supreme legislative bodies of two countries.

"Development of Kazakhstan- American relations is a priority in the foreign policy of Kazakhstan," K. Mami said and noted dynamic of Kazakh-American partnership in the sphere of enhancement of regional and international security, sustainable development, nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.

"We are bent on the relations between our states will develop further, we are set a high value of them," said the head of American delegation.

D. Barton thanked Kazakh side for contribution to the nuclear disarmament and non proliferation and the efforts on Afghanistan's reconstruction.
