Nazarbayev to meet with Olympic athletes July 4

"Let's hope that in London we will be more successful than in Beijing. Our athletes have the potential and we hope that they will show good results," he said.
The Olympic Games will start in London on July 27 and will last until August 12. More than 10,000 athletes from 205 countries around the world will fight for 302 sets of medals in 39 sports.
The Kazakh Government has determined the amount of remuneration for the prizes: the first place - USD 250 000, the second - 150 000, the third - 75 000, the fourth - 30 000, the fifth - 10 000, and sixth - 5 000.
Kazakh athletes won more than 102 licenses to participate in the 2012Olympics. |
