Criminal case opened against Yntymak border post acting chief

Toimukhanbetov for violation of the rules for handling weapons, resulting in human death, according to the press service of Kazakhstan's Chief Military Prosecutor's Office.
As reported earlier, Toimukhanbetov was attacked Sunday at 5:30 p.m. by five unknown armed men. In order to stop attacks and save his life the border post officer used weapon: he fired ten warning shots up and at the wheels of the car of the attackers. The assailants escaped.
As a result of the use of weapons an innocent bystander received a gunshot wound, from which later died in hospital. |
