Secretariat of Kazakh Security Council held meeting

Today, the Secretariat of the Kazakh Security Council held a meeting to discuss measures to promote the penal system, the prospects of the Kazakh naval forces, and monitoring the movement of citizens across the state border.

Chairman of the correctional system committee of the Kazakh Home Affairs Ministry Baurzhan Berdalin told about the progress in the development of the penal system. The issues of technical equipment, strengthening personnel, improvement of legislation were considered as well.

Deputy Defense Minister Sergey Gromov and First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee Vladimir Zhumakanov reported on the current state of the Naval Forces and marine units of the Coast Guard of the National Security Committee's Border Service, as well as prospects for their development. Particular attention was paid to the problems of coastal infrastructure and navigational support, training of naval personnel.

Concerning the regulation of border entry and exit the meeting discussed organizational and technical measures, including proposals to speed up the procedures for registration, as well as prospects for the introduction of electronic services to individuals and legal entities with using the possibilities of e-government portal.

Following the meeting appropriate instructions were given to the state agencies, control over the execution of which is entrusted to the Secretariat of the Security Council.
