Astana progresses with its EXPO-2017 bid in San Marino

Within the working meetings R. Zhoshybayev handed a letter of Prime Minister Karim Massimov addressed to San Marino authorities seeking support of Astana's bid for hosting EXPO-2017. San Marino authorities expressed interest in strengthening relations between two countries, both on bilateral and multilateral levels.
The sides noted it was necessary to expand the contractual basis between the countries, in particular in taxation, tourism and economic cooperation.
Kazakh MFA's Executive Secretary made a presentation of Astana's bid. R. Zhoshybayev stressed that the topic suggested by Kazakhstan for EXPO-2017 "Energy of future" would attract intense interest, especially taking into account Kazakhstan's energy potential.
The negotiations laid the foundation for development of fruitful cooperation between Kazakhstan and San Marino. |
