Kazakh Deputy PM to hold sitting on Zhanaozen development

On the instruction of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov, his First Deputy Serik Akhmetov pays a working visit to Mangystau region, the Kazakh Prime Minister's official website said.

S.Akhmetov is expected to visit the town of Zhanaozen where he will inspect the progress in construction of houses within the Complex Plan of socio-economic development of Zhanaozen for 2009-2012 and familiarize with the projects on landscaping of "Samal" micro district of the town within the program on single-industry towns development.

The First Deputy Premier is also expected to visit "KazGPZ" LLP where he will get acquainted with the process of reconstruction of the plant's technological process.

Besides, Serik Akhmetov will chair a session of the working group on Zhanaozen development. The issues regarding the current situation in the town as well as implementation of the Complex Plan of socio-economic development of Zhanaozen will be addressed at the sitting.

Later in the day, S.Akhmetov will participate in a ceremony of launching a drilling barge of Daewoo Shipbuilding&Marine Engineering Co., LTD designed for geological prospecting works on a part of Kazakhstan shelf.
