Five men drowned in rivers of Kazakhstan over weekend

A 28-year-old man drowned by accident in the River Syrdariya, Kyzylorda region, at 8:45 p.m. on Sunday (June 3), press service of the Kazakh Emergencies Ministry reports.

Search for the body continues.

A 24-year-old man died while swimming in Sherubay-Nurinsk water basin the same day at 12:00 a.m. in Karaganda region. The body was pulled out of the water by local fire crew.

One more 22-year-old male victim drowned in North Kazakhstan region on Sunday at 8:20 a.m. The body was taken out of the water by North Kazakhstan fire team.

The Emergencies Ministry reports two more victims who have drowned in the waters of Kazakhstan over the last two days.
