Senate Chairman met with Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem

Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, head of the Secretariat of the Congress of World and Traditional Religions' Leaders Kairat Mami met with Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem.

Mami noted a significant contribution to the Orthodox Church to the formation of human values.

As the speaker said, representatives of different religions and confessions live in Kazakhstan in peace and harmony. This is due primarily to the tolerance of the Kazakh people.

Referring to bilateral relations, the Speaker noted that "since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Israel, our countries have conducted successful cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres."

Theophilus III, praising Kazakhstan's initiative to establish a global dialogue of cultures and religions, stressed that "our country's successful experience in the field of interethnic and interreligious consent must be studied and disseminated in the world."
