"High values and freedom of each religion - Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Judaism, Buddhism and others always has been supported by the Kazakh state. That is why the process of spiritual renaissance continues in our society for more than twenty years. Mosques and churches are established. We are working out the draft program on strengthening inter-confessional accord till 2016, " Nazarbayev noted.
According to the President, an effective model of peace and accord is the key factor of successful development of Kazakhstan.
"Independent Kazakhstan is the country where 140 ethnicities live in peace and harmony. We have joined the three countries with the most dynamic economics. We have formed our own interethnic accord model. The Kazakhstani of any ethnicity or religioun is an equal citizen, an integral part of a unified civil community, and we create the conditions that everyone could practice their religion freely, to learn and use their own language, culture and traditions of their ethnic groups," Nursultan Nazarbayev concluded. |
