"Relationship between the countries should be based on tolerance regardless of a country's position or influence in the international arena," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev voiced his opinion during the 5th Astana Economic Forum.

According to the Head of State, global tolerance and trust are one of the fundamental principles of the world order in the 21st century.

"Kazakhstan has acknowledged this fact a lot time ago. We have initiated a dialogue between religions. Astana will welcome the 4th World and Traditional Religions' Congress in a week," Nursultan Nazarbayev said. "Global tolerance is one of the tools for world economy to avoid recession."

In addition, President Nazarbayev stressed that it was not only the inter-ethnic, inter-religious and cultural tolerance. "Relationship between the nations should be based on tolerance regardless of their geopolitical weight, influence, historical experience, level of economic and social development. The 21st century gives us enormous opportunities for economic, cultural and information interaction," Kazakh President concluded.
