Nursultan Nazarbayev says Belarus is Kazakhstan's strategic partner

"Belarus is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan," President Nursultan Nazarbayev told during the restricted-attendance negotiations with President of Belarus Alexanser Lukashenko in Minsk.

"Belarus is a strategic partner, close friend and an ally, moreover we are the members of the common Customs Union grouping Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. It brings us more closer," the Kazakh President said.

The Head of State congratulated the people of Belarus on the Victory Day marked on May 9.

In his turn, Alexander Lukashenko noted that Kazakhstan ranks the third among the CIS member countries in terms of trade with Belarus. Besides, he stressed that Kazakhstan and Belarus have no unsettled political issues.
