Astana EXPO-2017 presentation held in Bucharest

Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized an exhibition-presentation "Astana, the candidate for an international exhibition EXPO-2017" on Tuesday in Bucharest.

As the press service of the MFA said, the presentation took place in one of the oldest palaces of the Romanian capital - the National Geology Museum - and gathered multiple audience. Members of the Romanian Parliament, many of whom visited Kazakhstan, with the admiration spoke of the new capital of Kazakhstan.

In his speech, Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Art and Media of the Parliament of Romania Raluca Turcan stressed that "the initiative to organize this exhibition in Romania is an important step towards strengthening mutual understanding and friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Romania."

During the presentation the Romanian side announced the decision to name one of the streets in Bucharest in honor of Astana.
