Aktobe region Governor proposes to include Kandyagash, Emba, Shalkar into monotowns list

According to him, these towns are important industrial and transportation centers and meet the criteria for monocities. For example, Kandyagash is the administrative center of Mugalzhar district and the largest town after the regional center; 50 percent of the economically active population of the town is engaged in oil and gas industry, working on the railroad. All three towns are provided with centralized gas and heat supply, sewage system.
Construction of new residential districts in Kandyagash, Emba and Shalkar requires not only reconstruction of existing utilities, but also building new ones. In this regard, akim of the region appealed to K. Kelimbetov to assist in including Kandyagash, Emba and Shalkar into the list of monotowns. |
