Kazakhstan's accession to ICC discussed

Shakirov told about the progress of developing a Kazakh bill on the national mechanism to prevent torture and other cruel or degrading treatment or punishment, as well as the accession of the Office of the Ombudsman of Kazakhstan to the International Coordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions (ICC).
Harutyunyan expressed willingness to provide expert advice on the implementation of international obligations on human rights and freedoms by Kazakhstan. |
