Reps of leading French companies to visit Astana

text: Kazinform views: [970] Related articlesKazakh PM to propose Air France create new air company Kazakh Minister met with large French business delegation Businessmen of Kazakhstan and France to create Business Council First session of board of Kazakhstan-French Business Council held in Astana A representative French business delegation will arrive in Astana on February 15-17 to implement the agreements the Leaders of Kazakhstan and France have reached during the recent visit of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Paris last September 19.
The delegation consists of more than 80 businessmen, representing about 50 leading French companies such as "Alstom", "EADS", "Total", "Areva", "Électricité de France", "Gas de France", "Schneider Electric", "Thales", "Bhuig", "Sanofi Aventis".
The fifth meeting of the Kazakh-French Business Council will take place on the first day of their visit. The Council was founded in 2008. It groups 70 businessmen of both states. The Business Council, along with the Kazakh-French intergovernmental economic cooperation commission, is one of the most efficient mechanisms of the "Nazarbayev-Sarkozy" Presidential Committee.
The French delegation is planned to meet with the officials of the Government, ministries, state holdings and national companies of Kazakhstan.
The 10th meeting of the intergovernmental committee set for March 2012 in Paris will help strengthen the partnership dynamics between the countries.
