BIE expert commission to arrive in Astana

Nazarbayev: we are committed to prepare and to hold EXPO -2017 Astana, Liege vie for the right to host EXPO-2017 at Paris press event Kazakhstan to do its best to hold EXPO-2017 at the highest level: Nazarbayev Last Friday Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France Nurlan Danenov handed over to Secretary General of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales an application file of the Republic of Kazakhstan for carrying out the EXPO-2017 international exhibition in Astana.
A BIE expert commission will arrive in Astana on March 12-17, 2012, for familiarization with the Kazakh file. During the visit it is planned to hold meeting with the Kazakh Prime Minister, representatives of the ministries, Astana akimat (administration).
According to Rapil Zhoshybayev, National Coordinator of EXPO-2017 Project, Executive Secretary of the Kazakh MFA, "we hope that the visit of the expert commission will be successful, and our country will be admitted for voting. Astana's victory in election race to host the EXPO-2017 is a very important event for the state, a big step forward international promotion of Kazakhstan." |
