Heads of international organizations and permanent representatives of UNECE participating states attended the event, which was arranged as part of the celebration of 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's accession to the UN.
Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi congratulated Mr. Jan Kubis on taking the new post of Special Representative of UN Secretary-General and head of UN Mission in Afghanistan.
Kubis expressed his sincere gratitude for the appreciation of his work and congratulated the President and people of Kazakhstan on the 20th anniversary of independence. According to him, "Kazakhstan has demonstrated fantastic and rapid growth, despite significant challenges at the dawn of an independent state." |
