Kazakh Ambassador, Luxembourg Mayor met

KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ New mayor of Luxembourg City Xavier Bettel stands for development of close partnership relations between Luxembourg and Almaty, which are the regional financial centers. This was told at a meeting of mayor of Luxembourg City Xavier Bettel with Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belgium and Luxembourg, Head of Kazakhstan's Mission to the EU and NATO Yerik Utembayev. The Kazakh diplomat congratulated the Mayor on this post and wished him success. At the meeting they exchanged opinions on the current course of cooperation between Luxembourg and Kazakhstan as well as prospects of interaction between the two states.
Yerik Utembayev emphasized that Almaty city is a regional financial center of the country, and in this connection it has many similarities with the European financial capital - Luxembourg.
Xavier Bettel, in his turn, told about Luxembourg's possibilities as a financial capital of Europe as well as supported an initiative of development of close partnership relations between the European and Kazakh financial centers. According to him, there is a potential for institutionalization of relation between Almaty and Luxembourg, in this connection the Luxembourg side speaks for development of relations between the two cities.
The Kazakh diplomat also informed that this year Kazakhstan marks the 20th anniversary of independence. He outlined that the Kazakhstani people are proud of the achievements on the way of the successful economic and social development under leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Xavier Bettel congratulated the Kazakh Ambassador on the upcoming jubilee of the country's independence and wished success to the country and its people in further progressive development. |
