Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have clear directions of bilateral activity for benefit of two countries' people

Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has arrived in Bishkek for a working visit, where he will take part in the II Intergovernmental Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The sides plan to consider several documents.

Opening the enlarged meeting, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Almazbek Atambayev expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev for the rendered assistance and to K.Massimov for the visit.

"Our relations develop dynamically, but there is unrealized potential of bilateral cooperation. I hope, that today's session of the intergovernmental commission will give powerful impetus for development," A.Atambayev said.

K.Massimov, in his turn, noted that Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have clear directions of the bilateral work for the benefit of peoples of the two countries and prosperity of the economies.

Kyrgyzstan is one of the main trade partners of Kazakhstan. In the first quarter, 2011, the trade turnover made USD 120.2 mln.
