The OIC member states should develop a common approach to counter terrorism collectively, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the 38th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Astana.

The Head of State noted that the international terrorism challenged the Muslim world primarily. 'We need to develop a common approach to counter this evil - terrorism,' the President emphasized.

N. Nazarbayev on behalf of all the people of Kazakhstan called on to form a nuclear-weapons-free zone in the Middle East.

'The legal rights of Palestinians for building their own state which have not been realized, pendency of the issue on the status of East Jerusalem, difficult situation for the refugees are all a concern in the Middle East and far beyond,' the Leader of Kazakhstan said.

Kazakhstan stands for peaceful regulation of these problems in accordance with the resolutions of the UN, N. Nazarbayev concluded.
